You don't have to know what to do in front of the camera. That's my job.
I'll give you direction, pose you when it makes sense, and then give you room to actually be together. Laugh too loud. Be awkward. Let the kids run around. Don't worry if the wind messes up your hair or things don't go exactly as planned.
We'll get the beautiful portraits — but we'll also get the weird, funny, quiet, completely-you moments in between.

I’m Alex

I’m a photographer based in Granite Falls, Washington, for couples and families who are a little nerdy, a little alternative, and not terribly interested in doing things the way they’re “supposed” to. Whether it’s an intimate wedding, an elopement, or simply documenting this part of your family’s life, I keep things relaxed and easy. I’ll give you some direction, make sure you look damn good, and then leave plenty of room for you to just be you.

Couples

For couples who want to laugh, move, be a little weird, and actually feel like themselves in their photos.

Weddings & Elopements

For laid-back wedding days that feel like you — whether that means a mountaintop, a courthouse, or your favorite people packed into the backyard.

Family & Motherhood

For families who know the kids probably won’t cooperate the entire time — and are completely okay with that. Come as you are. We’ll make something good out of the chaos.

Why choose me as your photographer

Because you don’t need to know how to pose, where to put your hands, or how to act in front of a camera.
I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I’m not going to spend the entire session trying to make everything look perfect. I want you to move, laugh, talk, snuggle your kids, tease each other, be weird together — whatever feels like you.
I’ve been photographing people for a long time, and one of the biggest things I’ve learned is that the best photos usually happen when everyone stops worrying about the photos.
So yes, we’ll get the beautiful portraits. I’ll make sure everyone looks good. But I’m also paying attention to everything happening in between — the little looks, the chaos, the laughter, and the moments you didn’t even realize I caught.
No pressure to perform. No need to be perfect. Just show up as yourselves. I’ll take care of the rest.
