How I Work



I like to keep things relaxed. You don’t need to know how to pose, what to do with your hands, or how to get your kids to cooperate perfectly. That’s not your job.

I’ll give you direction, pose you when it makes sense, fix the little things, and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. But I’m also going to give you room to move, laugh, talk, wander around, and actually spend time with your people.

For weddings, I lean more photojournalistic. I’ll step in when you need me — especially for portraits — but I’m not going to spend your entire wedding day directing what happens. I want to photograph the things you planned and all the stuff you didn’t.

Some photos will be posed. Some won’t be. And some of my favorites will probably happen somewhere in between.

You don’t need to perform for me or have everything go perfectly. Just show up as yourselves. I’ll take care of the photos.
