PNW born and raised. Photographer, nature lover, rock music enthusiast, and all-around nerd.


I’m pretty calm and easygoing, a little alternative, and happiest somewhere in the mountains or surrounded by trees. I photograph much the same way I move through life — relaxed, observant, and not terribly concerned with everything being perfect.


I’ll give you direction when you need it, pose you when it makes sense, and then give you room to actually be yourselves. I want the beautiful portraits, but I also want the laughing, the weird little looks, the kids doing their own thing, the wind messing up your hair, and all the stuff you couldn’t have planned if you tried.

Nature

The mountains, rivers, forests, foggy mornings, rainy days and those rare PNW evenings when the sun actually decides to cooperate.

Connection

The way you actually are together — the laughing, touching, teasing, chaos, quiet moments and weird little things that belong to your relationship or family.

Emotion

Not every photo needs everyone looking at the camera and smiling. Sometimes the photographs that matter most are the ones you didn't even realize I was taking.

 

I keep things pretty simple. I’ll pose you, give you prompts, fix the little things and help when you have no idea what to do with your hands — but I’m not going to control every second of your session. Some of the best stuff happens when I give you room to forget about me for a minute and just be together.
